PFC 07 - Performance Friction's newest compound has higher initial bite
and higher average torque than any other Performance Friction compound. This compound demands the most from vehicle setup and is designed to
handle the most severe applications.
PFC 05 Compound has higher bite than 01 compound with flat torque and good release characteristics. Release and modulation characteristics are second to none with wear slightly better than 03 compound.
PFC 01 Compound has excellent modulation characteristics that improve
controllability and driver confidence. 01 is extremely easy on the discs
with very low wear.
PFC's Endurance Sportscar compound. PFC 06 compound pads are very similar to PFC 01 for both bite and torque. Excellent release and control with very low wear.
PFC 03 offers higher bite and higher average torque than 01 compound.
03 has excellent modulation and release characteristics, less torque scatter than competing pads, and very good disc conditioning properties.
PFC 97 Compound is a medium torque race compound and as a result can
provide reduced brake temperatures in situations where poor cooling can result in premature disc failure. 97 is extremely easy on the discs
with very low wear.
PFC 93 Compound has a progressive torque curve with a slight rise in friction
within the braking event. it has very good wear
characteristics and is less aggressive on the discs than 83 compound.
PFC 90 was developed at the same time as 93 and is very similar with lower
torque output. Highly
recommended as a general purpose race pad . Preferred by IndyCar and Indy Lights drivers for one mile ovals because of the finesse characteristics of settling the car without over slowing.
81 offers smooth and stable high temperature torque with excellent cold bite for the dirt and asphalt racers that demand race ready friction. 81 compound also offers quicker release for unrivaled modulation with low wear and excellent disc conditioning properties.
Several brake pads on the market boast 'ceramic' technology. DS1.11 is the
real thing. High coefficient of friction (0,50) at all speeds and temperatures High initial bite Predictability and control because of the unvarying torque output
DS2.11 is the sister compound to DS1.11. It's offers extremely high bite and friction coefficient. Pad life is slightly lower than DS1.11. It is especially recommended for rally (WRC race proven), but is suitable for any other application where very high friction, bit and a rising torque profile are
desired.
DS3000 is the FERODO RACING compound that has set the braking standard. The main characteristics of the DS3000 are:
Very High coefficient of friction (0,54) at all speeds and
temperatures High initial bite Predictability and control because of the unvarying torque output
DS3000 Plus 03 has an exceptionally high coefficient of
friction (0.72) is whilst maintaining the same gently rising toque profile as
DS3000 and great initial bite.
FERODO DS3000 Endurance has been formulated to provide extended pad/rotor life in events of three to six hours in length. Exceptionally high coefficient of friction (0,46) at all speeds and temperatures
4003 is a compound that was specifically developed for lighter cars
(Formula 3, Formula Ford) and Rally use. The main characteristics of 4003 are: High coefficient of friction (0,46) at all speeds and temperatures Predictable and reliable Low
drag/good release
The
Porterfield R-4 brake pad was our first and is our original Carbon Kevlar brake
pad. Being able to maintain an average of a .50 friction level within a very
wide temperature range gives the R-4 pad astounding versatility and makes it
very suitable for a wide array of various track conditions.
Raybestos ST-41 Maintains high mu level at extremely high temperature
without sacrificing good wear - both pad and rotor. Needs some heat to reach
its potential. Very rotor friendly.
Raybestos ST-43 This full race compound has proven to be one of the finest
all around race compounds ever. Suitable for use in all conditions, cold or
hot. Quick warmup, no rotor wear, and excellent pad life.
Raybestos ST-42 Lower friction level than ST-41 and ST-43. Extremely
stable average and in stop output over a wide temperature range. Has been
very successful when used on the rear with 41 on the front. Best high
